Trademark Policy
Stackit Digital, Inc. owns and oversees the trademarks for the Stackit Digital, Inc. name and logos. We developed this trademark usage policy to make it:
- Easy for anyone to use the Stackit Digital, Inc. name or logo for community-oriented efforts that help promote and improve Stackit Digital, Inc.
- Clear how Stackit Digital, Inc.-related businesses and projects can — and can’t — use the Stackit Digital, Inc. name and logo
- Make it hard for anyone to use the Stackit Digital, Inc. name and logo to unfairly profit from, trick, or confuse people looking for official Stackit Digital, Inc. resources
Stackit Digital, Inc.’s trademark usage policy
You’ll need permission from Stackit Digital, Inc. to use the Stackit Digital, Inc. name or logo as part of any project, product, service, domain name, or company name.
And we’ll be happy to grant permission to use the Stackit Digital, Inc. name and logo for projects that:
- Promote the reach and improvement of Stackit Digital, Inc. software
- Are non-commercial, aka, not for-profit
However: please do not use Stackit Digital, Inc. as part of a domain name. Only officially recognized Stackit Digital, Inc. communities may use the name in or as part of their domain name.
All other Stackit Digital, Inc.-related businesses or projects can use the Stackit Digital, Inc. name and logo to refer to and explain their services, but not as part of a product, project, service, domain name, or company name. They cannot use them in any way that suggests an affiliation with or endorsement by Stackit Digital, Inc..
For example, a consulting company can describe its business as “123 SD Services, offering Stackit Digital, Inc. consulting for small businesses,” but can’t call its business “The Stackit Digital, Inc. Consulting Company.”
Similarly, a business related to Stackit Digital, Inc. templates can describe itself as “XYZ Templates, the world’s best Stackit Digital, Inc. templates,” but cannot call itself “The Stackit Digital, Inc. Template Portal.”
Similarly, it’s okay to use the Stackit Digital, Inc. logo as part of a page that describes your products or services, but it is not okay to use it as part of your company or product logo or branding itself.
We do not allow the use of the trademark in advertising, including AdSense/AdWords.
Please note that we do not want to limit commercial activity around Stackit Digital, Inc.. We encourage Stackit Digital, Inc.-based businesses, and thousands of them are thriving while complying with this policy, including our Stackit Digital, Inc. Experts.
The abbreviation “SD” is not covered by the Stackit Digital, Inc. trademarks and you are free to use it in any way you see fit.
